Where do I Buy Yarn???+My Worst Idea Ever

So after learning the basics, You decide to knit a scarf that is 50 stitches wide and 200 stitches long for each of your family members by Christmas(yes,I did propose to do this) And you need yarn ASAP.
OK calm down if you know where to buy you will be fine. I recommend buying yarn from a craft store(i.e Ac-Moore, Jo Anne Fabrics, Michaels.). I know their are alot of cool or hip knitting shops that sell yarns, Be cautious these yarns can go for up to 20$ a bundle, Pick a nice yarn that is easy to knit with from the yarn section, try not to pick one that feels like craft yarn. I recommend Lion Brand yarns such as Homespun and the Vanna White collection. Pick a nice soft(not too weak or thin)Yarn to work with and get enough of it for your scarf(obviously get a lot if you made the bad decision of knitting scarves for 15 people by next month.) get a nice yarn that does not have poof balls weaved into it(i have been though that drama!)Get it in different colors (according to what the individual(s) like. I normally have a few projects going at once on various needles, I think it saves time. Try to find a nice yarn under 10$  unless that person is worth $11.67 or so.

Happy Knitting:)

Needle Recommendations

When you first start the best needles are steel ones and make sure they are not too thick and not too slender.

Yes,these are steel needles and they come in nice colors:)
and they are the perfect size, I got mine at a thrift store for 2$!

                                                                 Plastic needles
I wouldn't use these  because the stitches fall of and they are hard to use:(

Welcome :)

I learned to knit within 3-4 days and hey I am just starting like you. Knitting is a really rewarding craft and is not too expensive to fuel.Knitting is frustrating at times(well duuuhhh its really wearing on the eyes)Like when your stiches fall off the needle(its happened way to many times). Its a common misunderstanding that knitting is for the elderly but i beleve thats is FALSE INFORMATION. Alot of people knit and its really great when you finish making your first scarf you can't stop touching it and saying to everyone and their brother"HEY DID I TELL YOU I MADE THIS MYSELF". On this blog i will bring you along in my knitting adventures. I have alot to tell you like The First Scarf and Picking the Right Yarn and so on and so forth. Enjoy.
